August
August is all about the colours of the Purple loosestrife (Lythrum salicaria). The plant grows in small patches all over the wetland and gives a nice colour touch to the green mass. There are two trees in the mid ground which look as if somebody has attempted to fell them with an axe and changed his mind at the last moment. If we look closer we will notice very characteristic small marks on the trunk which are indeed beaver tooth marks. Seems like trees here are falling not only because of heavy storms.
