June
A recent heavy rain isolated this area once again from human access. The water finally withdrew enough for the path to be accessible. However a mature willow tree fell a victim to the storm. Since it was growing very close to the path, while falling it the tree root system pushed up the entire board walk and cut the access to the rest of the area. The wetland is very green and lush now. It is so hot and humid that makes a long term visit quite unpleasant.
